Do better than I, despite being raised in this country, speaking its language, and being part of it since birth.

How dare you excel, and buy a house, when i have scrimped and saved to buy one.

How dare you speak the language alongside your mother tongue, while my children speak it so coarse and unrefined unlike you, who spent years to refine how they speak.

How dare you hold two citizenships while making your home here, and make your success here.

How dare your children go to university, privileged that they are, and become the next era’s leaders and scholars, while mine get Cs in Math and Geography.

How dare you and your children took hold of the world while I remained stagnant, assuming the world would revolve around me.

How dare you try to succeed in this land, when I have given up the illusion of the ‘Western’ Dream.

How dare you succeed when I fail.

How dare you protest when I vote to have you deported.
